    I give "likes" for many reasons...isn't the standard now to reward participation, however slight?

    jk ;) I love y'all...except for those in my ignore closet :rolleyes:.

    Responses so far seem reasonable. Also sometimes just by accident...mostly if on a phone with touch screen.

    It’s a financial arrangement with the bots - I get paid bitcoin on a sliding scale, depending on monthly targets. It’s why I’m retiring at the end of this month. :D:twisted::lol::)

    Who needs a reason? You either like/agree with something, or not. I didn't realize we were going to psychoanalyze the TDPRI membership this morning.

    And why do you think you feel that way, ODR? *flips to new page in notebook*

    I also don't see the point of replying if someone wrote the same thing I wanted to post.

    I have a spreadsheet of criteria including quality of insight, use of grammar, wit, subject expertise, aesthetic charm, compatibility with forum rules, innovation, ethical impact, carbon footprint and any deductions/extenuating circumstances. That normally decides.

    Or someone posts a picture of a Telecaster.

    Because the posts to like ratio thread showed I’m way down and I’m hoping people will reciprocate.

    Depends:

    1. Sometimes I agree with their point(s);
    2. Sometimes I disagree, but understand and respect their point of view;
    3. Sometimes they are trying to be funny, and I think they have succeeded :);
    4. Sometimes it's a simple acknowledgement of the post - no opinion needed, like someone grieving a pet or loved one in the Bad Dog Cafe. Just to acknowledge that I'm "there" and understand;
    5. Probably more reasons I'm not thinking of right now.

    EDIT: Oh yeah - definitely guitar pics!

    What this thread has reminded me of is that I never use the emojis on here, and I should :)
