Thank you for the info. I'm going to look into this pedal and probably buy one.

I had a OCD pedal version one. It was not really the tone I was looking for.
I gave it to a kid I the neighborhood and he loves it.

Reliability is a big thing for me too. Everything has to work perfectly 100% of the time.
    Thanks for posting.

You're gonna love the Cali76. I like the red color. I bought a purple colored one.

I went down the new/boutique/modified route for a while. Even spent three full years recently gigging with a TC Electronic Nova System as my pedal board. It did a great job, honestly.

What finally struck me about all the new/modded/boutique stuff, at least where OD is concerned, is that although in many cases I was convinced it sounded “better”, with tighter lows, or crispier highs, or more range in the controls, more volume, or whatever...

I was always tweaking trying to get the sound to be like I heard it in my head. Went back to a stock SD1for the first time in almost 20 years, and there it was. What’re you gonna do?

The comp I’m using is new, and I love it. I’m not sure which model it’s based on (and we all know almost everything that’s come out in the last twenty years is a tweaked copy of something else), but I really like it.

Everything seems to be an "improved" version of something else. That's not necessarily a bad thing. But sometimes it's good to get back to the real thing and realize they had it down from the get go.

I believe that you can find the KTR for a much more reasonable price - mine was along the lines of $230 as I recall -

It just seems to scratch that itch. Keep going back to it. I just know how to make it do what I want.

    Keeley compressor pro
I like it as a boost/sustainer/limiter after the drive. I like all the controls. I'm fascinated by compression. Also, I got a good deal on it in mint condition from a guy I know that never used it.

I think my choices are influenced by my amp choice. I like the 15watt amps, half of my dirt comes from the amp.

So you have the compressor after the Plimsoul? That's cool. I always have had my compressor before the overdrive pedal. This way I can keep the gain on my Modded TS9 or whatever I'm using at the time at around 11 o'clock and when I hit the compressor it makes the overdrive really sweet sounding. I have a volume pedal in my board and I can get a great crunch and solo sound at bellow talking volume. Lately I've been using my 75 Princeton reverb with the volume at a little under 3. I Mic it up and come back through my own dedicated monitor. I have the sound guys set the monitor to my liking. I like running my rig like this. I can hear everything I'm playing and I never have stage volume issues

Really liking the Tumnus mini ... my first klone and it's definitely its own thing compared to TS's etc..

I've had the early Keeley 2-knob compressor for a while now, and as much as I want to like and use it, I end up not liking the pinched sound. So, no favorite comp.

Not mentioned very often, but I really like the Marshall Gov'nor. I have been using one for almost 20 years. If you like that Marshall sound it is one of the best MIAB pedals.
