long story short: a deluxe reverb with a SS recto, 6l6 tubes, mids "maxed", bright cap changed?, and big ol' jbls... I imagine the iron was swapped too?

what was the actual wattage after all that?

and what normal fender amp(s) does it resemble?

seems sort of like a bassman or like the 64' vibroverb custom?

    miniature twin?

I thought it had an EV (??)

And I thought it was a hot rodded Deluxe Reverb (?)

When I saw him playing with Dwight, back in the 90s, I thought that he was playing through a blonde showman.

Early days it was a pair of Deluxe Reverbs. Whether they were both modified or just one or none at the time I couldn't tell you. They were modified at some point but I can't confirm exactly when. Speakers were EVM12L.

It seems I'd read for the album Guitars and Cadillacs Etc Etc he used his 56 red sparkle tele with a maple neck and I want to say it had a DiMarzio Pre B1 bridge pickup as well.

For the early 90s album "This Time" he used multiple amps at least on tour. He used a then new blonde Fender Tone Master for his more rocking songs. A Groove Tubes Soul-o 75 for his more traditional "Deluxe Reverb" tones and a Matchless (can't remember the exact model) for a couple songs like "Thousand Miles From Nowhere" and "Long White Cadillac". On stage though he was only seen with a then new blonde Fender Blues Deluxe but he only used the speaker in the amp as an on stage monitor for his amp set up back stage.

That damn visibly seen Blues Deluxe sent me down the wrong path back then!

Later on he went to the Line 6 POD (and still does) and he says it sounds exactly the same as his old Deluxe. Personally I beg to differ.
