I got a pick punch and a great Weird Fish fisherman-style fleece that is incredibly warm and comfortable.

I got a really powerful electric kettle to make hot water for tea. And a bamboo body weight scale to remind myself of putting less sugar in the tea. Some loose leaf refills, some fine writing paper plus matching envelopes and a very cool looking Lamy ballpoint pen.

The very best present I got this year was also the least expensive! My girl got me a key ring pic holder with a glass pic! I wear a biker wallet with the chain so it'll never leave my side.

Besides the heavily-discounted damaged Epi LP Custom that I got myself in May or so that my wife decalred was my Christmas present, my MiL got me a spoon. Yep, a spoon. And OXO serving spoon. OXO is not among my favorite brands. They feel funny in my hands. And it's one of those that's metal with a plastic pad on the top and bottom. So it'll still get hot, but can't be used like an all-metal spoon.

    Yeah, well...

On Christmas Eve, the mailman delivered our quarterly tax bill, and my daughter's college tuition bill.

That was not what we were looking forward to on Christmas.

My wife and kids got me a clip-on tuner and one of those iRig things. Tuner seems to work, but I haven't opened the iRig.

And... a guy called me about a guitar I had posted for sale. I met him after finishing Christmas dinner and sold it. Quick and easy.

    Ouch. That hurts.

I once got a Christmas card from my landlord that notified me of my lease payment going up by nearly 20%. Yes, the card itself was the notice. He also taped it to the front door on Christmas Eve.

This year was much nicer. Got a bike rack and a pannier bag, some flannel jammies, a small bottle of some sort of hooch, and about a tonne of baked goods. Also won a Kindle Fire HD in a raffle at work that I didn't even know I'd entered.

I got a new speaker for my 12" cab, replacing my G12M with a Jensen C12R - and I immediately fell in love with the tone!

    I also got a 10" cab and a WGS Veteran 10. Sweet!

I got some pants. Which made me, and anybody who wishes to come see me play, very happy.

I just ordered another present about twenty minutes ago. I've been needing a Tele for a LONG time. I've been making due with my old Charvel TTX and my custom T style. Neither really sound terribly tele-ish, but both were plenty good to get me by. I've been needing to get one, but anything and everything I might be remotely interested in owning has been WAY out of my price range as of late.

Somebody told me last night though that for the holidays, American Music Supply was doing up to 12 payments on their interest free EZ Pay plan for the holidays. Talked it over with the wife, and we decided that made it totally do-able for us. So... I have an FSR American Rustic Ash Tele on it's way to me. Since my OCD gig mentality also dictates that it must be noiseless, I also have a set of Dimarzio Area T pickups coming with it.

Gig report will be posted as soon as it happens!
