I must say though, this one intrigues me the most out of all of them.

There is the Acoustasonic Amp Series.
    I have the 90 watt, it’s a decent amp.

Are these popular with anyone? I only ever see them on these sponsored videos. Honestly wondering who is playing them.

Yeah. You'd think they'd be perfect for a lot of live applications, but you just don't see em in the wild, it seems.

Although "in the wild" has been more like "in the zoo" for the last year...

I thought the same thing. I was surprised to see them in a small town music store here in Kansas and I asked the owner if he had actually sold any. He said he'd of a few with really positive feedback from the buyers.

The dude from Black Pumas plays one, I think. But they got a deal with Fender and maybe he was forced to play it for promotional purposes. I'm not sure.

Once the electronics on these things fry can you still play them with a conventional amp setup? Does anyone know?

Jack White has been rocking a Tele for quite some time now.

Nile Rodgers has been using a Strat as a recording tool.

The problem is that these are expensive, only serious musicians can afford them.

Well, err... one of the standard fittings on these is the fitting of a magnetic pickup which works without a pre-amp and the rest of modelling BS. So yeah, you can use them as regular electrics if you desire to do so.

My best friend and guitar mentor loves his tele version. He is a niche player though with a jazz/shredder style and he is mostly songwriting/recording now especially since the lockdown. He likes the combination of the pickup and the unplugged noodling aspects.

I really still don't get these - for 2 grand you can easily get a very nice electric and an acoustic, why would you instead buy just one guitar that is a compromise of both? I can't play acoustic styles well on an electric or vice versa, simply because of the different strings.

There is the additional question - these contain proproietary circuit boards, so when it breaks in 5-10 years, who fixes them and for how long will Fender supply replacement parts? I don't want to own a guitar that is ever going to be obsolete if I don't have to.

Where's the neck pickup? The whole point of a Jazzmaster is the neck pickup.

Would've thought they'd go Jaguar for a shorter scale option. I believe all three of these are at 25.5", can't imagine they sound too different from one another.

Maybe for the digital acoustic guitar sims they each come with a different "curated selection of tones"?
