So they quit making the Vintera '60's Telecaster?

They now offer the Bigsby equipped one, but no tele bridge one? Well, I guess that dragon Jimmy Page is the only option for 7.25", 60's style, rosewood/pau fero figerboard tele under $2K. I can understand the Ash problem, but I don't want a Bigsby on my tele. Thoughts?

The modded version doesn't have a Bigsby. Sadly, that's what swayed me when I bought my modded 60s - I hate "bloody" Bigsby's.

What? This makes no sense to me. They’re selling guitars “in the style of” the ‘60s. If ash availability is the issue, fine, but everybody is aware of that (if they aren’t they probably don’t care anyway), so why not substitute whatever works? I guess this is why I don’t run a business. I obviously don’t know the first thing about it.

    Build your own...

Allparts 60’s round lam. neck, 7.25 radius. All the rest is Fender US parts (Performer body) except the P90 and the pickguard to fit the P90. $650 all in.

That does not sound good to my ears. Maybe I am missing something but I really can't figure out why they made this decision.

I hope that a new model (made out of different wood?) is going to be announced in a short time.

I thought Bigsbys were so cool, until I owned one. I don't think I'll try again.

Which makes me wonder if there are any threads "how to block or deck your Bigsby".
I've seen the 'pink eraser trick' to putting strings on them. But what about the hard tail option?

Are they not doing the "mirror" Jimmy Page model anymore?

Me too...only mine was attached to a Gretsch. Much prefer my Tele and my Strat (and I never use the wiggle stick on that either).

They're making room in the Vintera 60s lineup for a double-bound Custom and a 69 Thinline, right? Right?

Glad I hung on to mine. I was a Strat guy and the 60s Baja was my first induction into the Tele disease. It is a wonderful guitar that has spawned . . .uh . . . quite a few room mates.

Well, it looks like they still make the 50’s Vintera Teles, no Bigsby, 7.25 and, even better, a maple fretboard. A win, win.

Not if you prefer the rosewood or a darker wood. Maple is OK and isn't a deal breaker but I prefer the darker woods by far over maple.
