I hope you get better soon, but I'm going to stay away from this thread just in case!

Get well soon! I don't envy you one bit. And stay where you are. From your story about catching things you and I must be related. My wife calls me the 'poster child for household accidents and illnesses'!

Take care and be good to yourself. Get well!

When I was a child, I had a fever. My hands swelled up, just like two balloons. Okay, now I get it.

I caught it from my daughter a few years ago and it was horrible. I didn't get any blisters on my hands but had a bad fever and soars in the back of my throat. The chills were so bad I was under a fleece blanket in 90 degree heat. Swallowing anything was excruciating. My daughter didn't seem that uncomfortable however.

At least you're not waiting for a UPS package that may never arrive.

Be in a wrote: “Day cares are just disgusting, disgusting places.”

    Testify!!!
Every communicable illness there is thrives there. Lice crawling on everybody. And.....in the case of two parents much of the earnings of one of the parents is going to farm out raising the child in those disgusting places. It would not happen were the child mine...but that is not my worry. In the case of single parents, they have few options...since they did not consider the options before having the child...or children.
I have a niece who has two children with another on the way. The husband makes more than enough for the security of the family....long term. The children are in day care full time since the mother wants to work?????? It is the modern scheme of things.....
He makes great money, they have a very nice home.....and their children are continually sick and lice-ridden while assuredly most if not all of her money goes to child care. They take it as a normal life. Filth, imho.

I know your pain. My youngest caught it then my wife and then I got it the worst. After getting over the blisters and fever I had to deal with my finger nails and toe nails peeling for months afterward. I recommend getting some finger nail hardener. It is kind of like nail polish. Otherwise playing guitar will be off the table for a while. Nothing worse than snagging a chunk of finger nail on your high e string.

    Hope you get better soon!

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought someone said something stupid, and it was "foot in mouth disease" :D

Unfortunately, I've had that way too many times.

    Cheers,
    Doug
