I know it sounds crazy. I just like this little amp, use it quite a bit for practice. It sits in my office, and I didn't like the black plasticky look of it.
I also added a cab out jack plug on the left side, because sometimes I like to hear it on a larger speaker.
The corners don't look great, turns out it's not easy to work with tolex on such a small thing.
Sounds like a crazy and useless thing to do but it was a fun little project overall, and I like how it looks now.
    What do you guys think?

Now you need an Evil Morty label affixed somewhere on it;)

Aha! Would have to be a tiny label though.

    Hmmm...
I don't currently have a Fly ... but now I'm wondering how hard it would be to put one in a small wooden cabinet. With my "skills", I'd probably just end up wrecking a perfectly good small amp

I completely agree, that's an entirely pointless, superbly useless, infinitely crazy thing to do. It also looks absolutely fantastic - must have been fun indeed! :D

Great idea adding the speakerl jack. You'll be posting a soundclip?

    I like it.

Do you have a "go to" setting on this? I have the same amp, and am looking for some good sounds from it. I have one's I like, but if you have some settings to share, please do.

I like having the tone knob almost all the way to the left ("US"), and the gain about right in the middle, while using the clean channel. Gives a great clean sound for blues IMHO.

Definitely doable I think. The default speaker is 4Ohm so be mindful that if you replace it with a better speaker it's likely to be a 8 or 16Ohm so you will lose a bit of volume. The difficult part would probably be to fix the pots (knobs) to your new cabinet. They are soldered directly to the circuit board.

I know right? It sounds great (for the size and price) so why have they designed it like a cheap Bluetooth speaker? It's an object that's going to end up in your living room, office, bedroom... So it might as well look good. In the store I was torn between this one and the small Katana that looks even worse in my opinion (that handle!).

First - great job. I also love my Blackstar Fly, it´s my practice amp for years and I also got the extension cabinet which makes the sound really better and fuller.

My settings are: ISF more on the right side, love the more of midrange in the sound but that´s also why I play a tweed amp instead of a bf. I´m only using the clean channel at least half open. It works well with pedals and reacts really good to the volume knob of the guitar.
