As Jakedog said, he didn't like any of the Katana's or Blues Cube hot.

They are not to his ears his "cup of tea".

I respect that. I am thinking though he maybe wasn't going to be using the Katana solely for bedroom very low volume practice like I am.

Once again it is somewhat dependent a lot on what use one is going to put the amp in service as.

As well as everyone's taste and ears are going to be different but I do again respect his opinion and review.

Hendrix... you are very correct. Gig with it first and then make your final opinion based on what your main use of the amp is.

I am glad to hear you like it so far. I also prefer the panel setting on the clean setting with a touch of spring reverb and my pedal board in front of the amp. It serves my purpose and intentional use for this amp perfectly

I stopped by my local Sam Ash today to try a Orange Crush 35RT. Pretty neat little amp... then on a whim I plugged into the Katana 50 sitting next to it. Clean channel with the gain cranked was really doing it for me. First modeling amp I've tried that I felt really connected to.

I have mine since one year already, it has been a nice amp, never used a PC with it, only used the panel knobs and over time learned how to get great tones out of it.

Then a month ago came that firmware upgrade to double the amount of presets and new global and channel parametric EQ, so I decided to upgrade and hook it up to my PC, while I was there I spent about an hour to set the global EQ to my liking and tweak some of the effects, saved everything.

I haven't plugged it to my PC since then, I just like the way I did set it up, what a great amp, some of the best tones I ever got.

I got a Katana 100W 1x12.

Within 5 minutes I got a call from a promoter. "Pink Floyd has reformed and they really need you on rhythm guitar and bg vocals!"
Next thing I know I'm onstage at Shoreline Amphitheater. There haven't been any rehearsals but the first song starts. D minor? G minor? A little hard to hear what I'm doing so I'll just pluck a few notes. I say to the stage manager "you realize I don't actually know how to play any of these songs, right?" He pats my shoulder reassuringly. I'm just maintaining a low profile hoping for the best.

Then a section comes along that I think will benefit greatly from some "woo-woo" background vocals which I step up to offer spontaneously. Somebody grabs my arm. It's the stage manager again. "You don't actually sing on this one". "oh, OK".

Then I woke up. This is all completely partially somewhat true. 100%! I did buy a Katana 100W amp. And the rest of it is from a dream I had prior to that.

I think it's cool that you can get the Katana to feed back on the 0.5 watt setting.
