There are plenty of talented, high-functioning people out there with aspergers, so that wouldn’t be my first bet. And I would expect someone on the spectrum to have a more linear thought process than that—at least that’s been my experience.

It reads like he was trolling you from the first response. Why else would the type of person he describes himself as respond to a band ad? Then proceed to tell you he won't be showing up to practices. That's a "yes", "no" and then a lot of material proclaiming his superiority, which will almost guarantee push back.

That's where I was trying to go. Keep him confused with things that have no meaning & gradually start questioning himself. That's when it gets fun.

Sounds like one of your friends is messing with you. How many people did you tell about placing this add? Would any of them be the type to play a joke on you like this?
I know I would be tempted to do something similar to a few of my friends if given the opportunity.

I just re-read the colossal first contact post and I'd say I am 80% confident this is a MASSIVE troll job by someone you know. Or possibly someones you know collaborating together. The effort is impressive if that's the case; which I am rooting for because reading all that word salad again tells me you're being trolled HARD, or Crazyface is even more bat**** than I thought before.

 

Sometimes these things are hard to figure out. I have an overdrive pedal, the Rowin Dumbler, that makes a great AM receiver when plugged into my Mustang GT40, but not when plugged into my Katana 50 and Mustang 1 V2. But no other pedal does it, with the same guitar, power supply, patch cables, and other pedals in the same chain in the same order. So, it therefore must be something about the combination of Dumbler and GT40. If it was the pedal, then it would do it with my other amps. And if it was the GT40, then it would do it with other pedals. Very strange.
