Remarkably, there's still at least one Snowy Owl here locally. Found this one today on the beach.

He's probably thinking....."screw the snow, I'd rather be on a nice beach."

the wind was blowing at about 35 mph, it wasn't that great. Couldn't even really stand still to take the photos.

Didn't that one have a line of cheap cigars? Seems I recall having one a few years back with his picture on the wrapper.

    Yeah.

We got the "Who Cooks for You" guys up in the side holler just east of The Cabin. I try to leave them be, but every once in a while I gotta walk back up in there and it is so amazing, how quiet their flight through the air is. I'm not talking electric car quiet, I'm talking real quiet. If you didn't know you were supposed to be looking and where, you'd never know. No wonder the little varmints are so gonna be eaten, back in there.

Seen two great horned owls in a nieborhood the other day. First owls I have seen in real life. Cool looking and were hooting a lot of the morning. Plus they kill vermin like mice. How can you beat having something like that around.

Thanks, I think this one may be in trouble. He looks pretty shabby and is definitely here well past the time he should have left. I have forwarded photos to a licensed raptor rehabber to see what they think.

You never fail to amaze me with your Prowess as a Photographer.

You get the most amazing "TONE" from that
    Camera.
