Here's hoping our member from Kamloops (whose handle seems to escape me today) is okay, and hoping for the safety of the pilots!

Saw the Snowbirds perform at a Airshow with the Blue Angles. I thought the Snowbirds put on a better show. Hope the pilot/pilots got out in time and are well.

Initial reports are it was a two-seater, and only one of the crew got out. The jet had just taken off in clear weather and was about 100' altitude when it rolled over and crashed into the ground.

Very sad to hear this, I just saw the video of the crash. I saw them last October here with the Thunderbirds at the annual air show in Huntington Beach and agree, their show really was better. They really look like a flock of birds and have great routines. RIP

Correct. @24 track refers to him in post #6. He lives far away from the crash site.

Weird timing. I did not know who the Snowbirds were until last night when I saw them on an episode of Corner Gas.

    Hope everyone is alright.

Very sad. I saw them fly over my house earlier in the week.
