We had a fairly serious blizzard here in ND back on the 10th, following a dusting on the 7th that never melted.
I didn't go outside and didn't look at it for several days. I stayed inside and made soup. But according to the people around me who did go out, and the national weather service, it was over 20 inches in our part of the state.
Now? It's mostly a couple inches of ice.

I'm in southeast King County. Currently the roads are clear but wet (probably will be slick in the morning), and there are some residual patches in my yard and on my deck. I would be surprised if we get anything significant in the immediate future, it seems that late January/early February has been when we've been seeing any notable accumulation in the past few years.

Yep....I'm about 18-20 miles south of Seattle. It was snowing pretty darn good a while ago. It's 33 degrees out and the forecast calls for pain....(oops! Sorry Robert)...er, snow.
Bluego.....I love Spokane and eastern Washington in general. Some great towns east of the mountains.

I’m officially old - I hate even this ! Would like to see a few more 40 degree days but - I’m not complaining !

For some reason it starts and then immediately stops after I hit play. Pretty as a still shot, though

I hate to be 'humbug buzzkill' ( band name?),
but as much as I think snow is beautiful, and have great memories of playing in it as a kid, and young parents ( Northern Virginia), and the romantic nostalgia of snow in College ( Erie, PA )- I just cannot deal with any snow in my aging life, today!
I've had a bad back for 30 years now, can't walk ( won't!) in any snow or ice, if I fall, I could never get up!
Also, could never shovel it now ( but in an apartment now, so not an issue)
Plus I drive so much ( gigs/ Uber driver), and will not drive in snow, until all is really clear.
I literally freak out with anxiety- which I know makes all worse...
I used to be fine, fearless but now a big baby

Oh you know how I’m doing over here man! Jury duty today in CDA. Drive home was super sketch. Gotta drive back in the morning for day three!
The snow isn’t predicted to stop for another 16 hrs.
My wife thinks she’s got it bad because she has to keep us dug out. Try being fed doughnuts and bad coffee and be expected to sit still for 8 hours.

Just started to rain in Northern CA. Should turn to snow. Not much at our elevation, but the real reservoir is up high. Here's hoping. Sorry you all back east suffering from too much snow, but we've been drier than a popcorn fart for too long here.

I hear ya bro. I'm 67 and have had chronic back pain for 50 years. I thought I'd be playing in bands until I die, but the lack of ability to stand for 4-5 hours left me a few years ago.
I always kinda thought that when I can no longer stand and have to sit for a gig, that's it...I'm done. And it's been pretty much so.
Chronic, unrelenting pain drains the very life out of one...drop by drop, day by day.
Sorry for the derail! Just saying I have a great deal of empathy for.

Going down to 12 degrees wind chill here tonight. We haven't got much snow yet, but the cold has come on pretty hard and early this year.

I just turned 64, gig as much as I can ( I'm 'the singer' too) and about 20 years ago, I just started playing sitting down ( can't stand for more than a few minutes), and just put kind of a directive in my head:
" Don't worry about this; get comfy and entertain!"
( but cannot do a gig, even sitting, longer than 3 hours - just too much!)
