Well, I guess this is going to be replaced with a DIY cab thread—I stumbled onto a $5 microscope case on eff book marketplace, and the seller said “I just want it out of here, I’ll leave it on the doorstep, don’t worry about the $5.” It was even right on my way home from work. Now the questions are, what speaker, closed or open back? It’s 8 1/2 x 10 x 15.

The Eminence 820H would be a good fit in that, imho.

Is the 10” measurement the width…measured parallel to that handle orientation?

Check out the inexpensive Kustom cabinets on the net. I rebadged both of these to match my amps.

I will attest to the 2x6" design. A look with the back off during a recent speaker swaps.

The Emis are 6.5" 20w guitar speakers with sensitivity of 95db and freq response of 100hz-5500hz. I ported the box to augment low end response (which it does quite well). Box is solid pine about 15"x13"x10.5" deep. Weighs about 17 lbs loaded with the Emi speakers.
It's loud can handle up to about 30-35 w and is a lot of fun.

Maybe roll your own?

Ps. I should note that those particular speakers are no longer in production. They are very similar to the 620H model but have a slightly smaller magnet and have paper cones instead of hemp.

Those sound like the Emis that Parts Express used to have. They were specials for a maker of a big amp-in-a-pedal that failed in the market because ears are on the side of the players head and not on the chin. PE bought the lot and offered them at around $12.95. Tube Depot bought that lot and offered them at around 2 1/2 times the money, which would be the rational price.

Nice speakers. Lots of folks bought them for their Champion 600 reissues.

Yup, those are the ones.

Not that any/many might have interest.. but I found with those it's really helpful to have EQ capability up front. Those kick out a lot of upper mids and are weak on the low-end (no surprise of course).
Correcting for that via strong EQ makes them very usable and sound good
