I've got this nice acoustic archtop that I bought in Shanghai about 15 years ago and I thought it was time to put a pickup in it, so I took it to my trusted luthier and it's back:

12-54 steel strings, with wound G-string, just the volume pot and jack input in the usual place.

Sounds lovely into my JC-55, great for mellow slide tones and jazzy chord progressions.

The guitar cost me the equivalent of £100 back then, the mod cost me the same, all in.

    Yay :)

That's beautiful. And it's cool that it evokes but doesn't copy classic well known archtops.
