I've heard good things about the ampeg gvt 15 (6v6 and reverb).

Original 1960's Ampeg Reverberocket amps are an amazing "bang for the buck" these days. Find one that has been serviced and you're golden.
Fender Pawn Shop series amps? Excelsior if you want tremolo; Vaporizer if you want reverb; Ramparte if you have pedals for both of those effects..
Or if you're just playing at home - Yamaha THR10C.

I'll second that! I've got a DSL20 CR (combo). Don't need any attenuator, low-power, clean channel wound up full,, control from guitar.. Perfect!
