OK...so I've been playing online Hearts with people instead of the computer. My strategy is to get rid of high cards in suits where I have few. I developed this from finding out that only way I could win in the Windows version was by playing defensively.

I win once in a while, but people get ticked off by my playing. After a couple games some will get all bent out of shape and call me a "slider".

I try to play strategically and win the game. Occasionally I'll screw up somebody's chance to " shoot the moon" by taking the trick with a higher card...

Is that Sliding?

I don't know... but to me I'd rather get 4 points than 26.....

I hope somebody knows if I'm doing this right or wrong...

Thanks.

I was in a week long experimental drug trial back in 1975 (probly explains a few things). Anyway, learned how to play hearts back then and I sure don't remember any rule against "sliding"...

I think what we got here is somebody got their little heart broken...

If someone besides you is trying to shoot the moon, it is your responsibility to stop them, and it is their responsibility to be able to count the tricks and make sure they can do it before they try.
