Much better IMO
No no no no!
Boys singing man's song... lol
Slade in 75 is the wildest concert I ever been to. You don't think it when you see how they look.
Slade Alive - 1972 - crackin' album. I often what AC/DC would have been like if Noddy had got the gig after Bon Scott died...
Ooh, can I use my boring stories about bumping into Dave Hill? He lives quite near to where I grew up and was on the PTA where I went to school ( ok, couple of decades after I left). He used to drive around in a Bentley so he wasn't hard to spot. Last seen driving a 4x4 so a bit more sedate now.
Other than that who doesn't love a bit of Slade?
I'd recommend their movie Slade in Flame which is a bit of a cult film but some say one of the great rock movies.
I like this song, it's about a race horse.
Slade were very influential to British music in the 70s and 80s.
Jim Lea and Noddy Holder, the two writers of their Christmas song (Merry Christmas Everybody), each get around €800,000 ($1,000,000) every year in royalties from that one song.
They were a terrific live band.......ferociously loud.Saw them one night at Newcastle Polytechnic and they'd been promised their bar bill would be wiped if they got ten encores. They did eighteen.......
christams with Slade spoof
