Clapton has stated he can’t listen to it because his timing was off. I agree . But the squares pay the freight . And they are stupid.

His timing is a little off here and there, but he's plays more intersting and melodic stuff in a few notes than all the fast stuff I've heard from him and a lot of others.

Exactly what I'm talking about. I love The Dead, and Jerry's great, but his solo just fills the space. Clapton's solo on the Cream's version tells a story.

The Howlin’ Wolf version is also my favorite. Sure, the song is ultimately about feeling good, but when he sings it you can feel the pain it took to get there.
