I'm not sure being sent to a clap clinic is err,well...

Although I know Jimmy Page is known for using a Supro they can't have been very common in the UK in the early 60s. It seems surprising if that's what they had .

You got me here...the guitar cable in the "Supro" version does look like it suffered from some retouching. Maybe someone was selling an old Supro amp and inserted one into that pic... "Want Sister Rosetta's tone? Buy this amp!"

Who wants to contact "Unsolved Mysteries"?

The grass next to the foot would have me believe the vox is the original.

I will answer my own question. A little search has Albert Lee buying a Supro amp from Selmer in London in 1960.

I don't either, really. Originally I thought the logo looked similar to a Supro logo, maybe with the lower portion of the P broken off. After refreshing my memory on what a Supro logo actually looks like, this one looks nothing like that.

What that amp really is, is as much a mystery to me as why someone felt the need to slice it into the photo. And that doctored photo seems to be everywhere on the web. Now I need to know where it first appeared.

The English teacher has learned something new! Thanks. I'm wondering if this is more a Brit/UK usage than a Yank one.

And I did have a student the other day write that he would be late to class because "I am going to workify on my chem test stuf first." I aloud hem too dew thatt....

Do you have a position on "conversate"?

I was just listening to a call in show on my car's radio, and a caller kept referring to an "escape goat". I nearly drove off the road!

Find me a Supro of that era with front control panel/knobs.

Then, when we realize there were none, only cogitate about amps that had front control panel/knobs.

...and the line on the wall behind the non-Vox amp is curved instead of straight. That pic has been 'Photo-stored' as it was called back then.

I'd say more of a technical usage than a regional one, e.g. stoichiometry or stochastic.

And keeping it semi-OT, this is my favorite SRT on video:

Hell, I don't even agree with "preventative." The word is "preventive." We don't say "inventative," do we? Invent-->inventive, prevent-->preventive, etc.

Then again, throwing my dinosaurs at windmills can be a pretty good waste of dinosaurs, so....

I'd rather listen to Sister Rosetta. Rock and Roll's real grandma!
