Ah, the "guy approach". If it ain't workin'.... USE.... MORE.... FORCE.

Helped Ms. darkwaters scrape off the car this morning. The stupid !@#$% extendable scraper wouldn't retract after. Started hammering it on the frozen ground. It retracted ! Ms. asked me what I was doing. "Guy approach" says I. She laughed.

    Man, I feel for him.

Well, at least you’ll be able to tell him it made for an entertaining forum thread.

The way I see it is either inebriated or the family tree didn't branch much - God Bless His Heart.

I'm encouraged to read that knowledgeable people are suggesting that this can be repaired. However, I don't know whether the instrument will be or sound the same. Is that a poly finish? It doesn't look like nitrocellulose so maybe it will be less finicky to refinish once the structural repairs are made. Do those bodies have any significant monetary value? If not and there's no sentimental value to speak off, a new body might be advisable.

Oh, it can be fixed. It’s just the havin to. That’s why he texted me with it, to see if it was repairable. It is sentimental. It has been his main squeeze for over 30 years so I will fix it it, but dang, what a mess.

Am I the only one who wants to see a photo of the front. If your “friend” hit the control cavity so hard as to crack the body, what must the cavity itself look like?
