I almost went to see them back in the day, but a friend of mine had such a crush on her it was too annoying to even consider. It was a “Jeez, would you shaddap already” eye-roll moment among our friends.

I don't read a lot of rock press, but it doesn't seem Siouxsie is heralded enough as the monster innovator I think she has almost always been.

Anyway, I mention John McGeoch (RIP) every few days here, his era was my favorite from S&tB. A top ten fave/influence for me, savage tone/riff on Trophy, my fave from that record.



This record, front to back. His parts are usually so clean and articulate. Marr has cited him as an influence iirc

I saw them at the the First Lalapalooza tour in Minneapolis. They were good but Siouxsie's crowd banter was insulting the crowd because we all looked too young to her. I still remember the line "....sucking on your mommie's *** suck, suck, suck". Seemed odd for a giant crown of adoring fans.
