I'm reconfiguring and experimenting with my squire stratocaster...

Plan is to go with with a single coil in the NECK and a humbucker in the BRIDGE. I already have a very loud bridge humbucker so I'm looking for a single coil that is loud and real big and can hold its own against the humbucker yet retain a distinct single coil sound in the neck position. Anybody got any recommendations? Thanks!

Gibson P94, but it might require a router to help enlarge the space available.

Seymour Duncan Quarterpounders are pretty robust pick ups. I had a set on a Tele many years ago.

The SSL-6 is another good pickup that can match with a humbucker, but still has single coil sounds.

I put a "Hot Rail"-style single sized humbucker in the neck of my PRS SE One, to go along with the bridge P-90, and it seems a great match, both in output and overall sound compatibility. When I use this guitar, most of it is on the P-90, like a LP Jr, but the neck is nice to add for variety.
