    Mike Patton does it (for FX).

    Interesting about the noise reduction. There's a clip of Radio Birdman with 2 mikes strapped together and I always wondered why.

    I have a Crown vocal microphone that has two elements in it that are out of phase. It's great if you want to keep ambient sounds out of the mix (works well with singing drummers) but you have to be right on it all the time. I can't remember the model number.
