A magpie was trying to kill this Bohemian waxwing so i had to step up, idk why but it held it on ground and pecked its belly vigorously.
After a little rest it was able to continue what everit was doing and i didnt see any blood or damage anywhere.

A few pix from near our house. Hadn't realized that we have both Eastern and Western Kingbirds out here. If I recall correctly we are also in the transition zone between Eastern and Western Meadowlarks, and Eastern and Western Bluebirds, too.

Didn't get a picture, but the Swainson Hawks have stayed around a bit longer than usual this year it seems. Love watching them exhibit "flight mimicry" of buzzards.

It was good to see a Flicker finally found our squirrel feeder....

This isn't the meme thread. People had commented that they used to enjoy my wildlife photography threads and they missed seeing them, so I started a thread to post some of my work that people enjoy seeing and in true TDPRI fashion it has been overrun with nonsense.

No rules broken, but I deleted most of the memes cause they were overwhelming and derailing an otherwise very cool thread.

I don’t think you were clear that this thread was a showcase for your personal avian portfolio. I’ll delete my photos when I get home. I thought I was contributing in a positive way. Sorry. Btw, I enjoy the memes.

The old story....person rips it up on their Tele and is told that they sound great, same person takes wonderful photos and is told "you must have a great camera".

Hi Everybody! Bones, don't you dare stop. Your shots are so tranquil. Guitars and Birds go together as far as I am concerned. I hope you have many more shots in the years to come. Just awesome.
