. . . I need things laid out, in order, with no hidden menus or extra features. I only have one pedal with more than three knobs. . . .

Subsequently, I gave up on the convenience of multi-effects…I admire you folks (those ones?) who use and enjoy them.
'Zackly! (See post 43.)

None of the pedals on my boards has more than three knobs. Convenience? Gimme a break!

Likewise, I gave up on four-knob electric guitars. They made me carsick. When I got a good sound, it was by accident. Teles and Strats for me. (I hardly touch the Strat knobs, anyway. With the five-way switch, who needs 'em?)

I’m thinking the 4 knob setup would be better with 2 push/pulls.
+1 Vox! I played one exactly once and it still haunts me how good it was.

Hi.

A different idea. Not really pushing it, just an option to consider.

How about a loop switcher? Each pedal in a loop, so if a pedal or patch cable goes south (as you had happen recently), the rest are fine.

There’s plenty available. I have One Control’s Agamidae Tail Loop, which is also programmable - not order, but which pedals are on together when you hit a patch button. It takes up very little room.

I have the Valeton Dapper, which I bought to have a multi FX for rehearsals, small enough to fit in the gigbag (it does!), so I only have to bring a guitar-bag (amps are in the rehearsal room). I think it's pretty good! Esspecially the drives. And it's way cheaper than all the competition. I could gig with it!

I have a Fender Mustang Floor unit and it's great AFTER a bit of a learning curve. I've had it for a few years and still trying to figure it out but I'm an idiot so there's that. I just wish it had a looper. Around $200 used if you can find one. With the software it's easier to set up on a computer and save your presets.

I searched for existing threads but couldn’t find anything that quite answered my question.

I’m interested in a very basic multi-effects pedal that has: OD, Tuner, Delay, Reverb. I like the demos of the Alien Analog Rumble Seat but it doesn’t appear to have a tuner.

I play blues and jazzy stuff (Scofield) so I don’t need anything too elaborate. I like delay sometimes, but just a very slight analog delay or tape echo.

When I say simple, I mean four stomp buttons with a couple knobs for each effect. Anything out there I should consider?

All analog for $499. Meets your needs:
-4 stomp switches
-minimal knobs for each effect
-fx loop
-bonus built in wah
-no tuner though

I've got this one as well, specifically for use in my garage punk band.
The fuzz is actually very good on it, as is the drive (rat).
It does a great "freak out" sound with all five stomps engaged

Yep, AWESOME multi. A Fender Mustang amp, but on the floor and fully switchable and with expression/vol pedal capability
It's biggest downside is the flimsy powersupply

Huh. Deja vu
There's also this, that I have no experience with, and no interest in, as I have zero need for chorus.
looks like there's also no tuner.
But it's kinda cool in the sense that it's an old school, all-analog deal

ME 50 is fantastic…ive got one and the ME80…..tanks!
Yeah, I'll second/third/forth this one. I toured with them and they were solid and dependable. I only stopped because they were also heavy. But they're great.

Agreed / May just be that I’m not up to the task of four knobs.

I do get some use out of the knobs on my strat and the garbagecaster, but there’s only two knobs on ‘em.

Re effects: OP, do you have a preference of whether you’d actually prefer to travel to venues with a multi-effects or a small pedal board..? I find sometimes that packaging is a major factor in my gigging gear decisions. I know you said a board was giving you trouble, I submit that one could make a small board every bit as reliable as a small computer (multi-effects) — and I really do like that pedaltrain hard case..
