    Very cool looking guitars.

I heard Grover Jackson say (on youtube) that paulownia was soft and would not hold screws, so he quit using it. Did you have any problems?

Yes, it is very soft so you need to know what you are doing, putting one together. But if you take care I can't see any issues at all.

I drill holes well under size, add a drop of glue as I screw them in, use extra-long strap button screws, thick neck plates (thin ones will distort), don't over tighten screws, etc.

I also think the poly finish helps harden the surface. Maybe thin nitro would deteriorate more quickly.

Having said all that, I certainly wouldn't mass produce them and sell them to ham-fisted bozos.

    Oh, that's easy....

If it twangs, it must be the Tele.
If it sings it must be the Strat.

Except for the stars on the pickguard, the Tele looks great. Nicer than the BP model imo.

Good stuff. The only part of my Paisley Tele I didn't like was the light weight. Felt like a toy.

But I'd rather a toy than a boat anchor, and TOY will become the new normal, whereas BOAT ANCHOR will be what all your others guitars feel like.

To each his own. When I sold it I also had to almost give it away, took forever to get $500 for it which amazed me. It was a nice guitar and sounded great.

Beautiful! I love matching Strats/Teles (I have a matching pair of the early 2000's Lite Ash models :) ). What paint did you use for the silver sparkle?

How do you do a silver sparkle finish like a Don Rich silver sparkle? Is there a sparkle paint? What kind of topcoat do you use? would Water based lacquer work?

Great looking Sparkly SILVER guitars! Why do we have such a fascination about sparkly guitars? Sorry but the light does not do the sparkles on my old Peavey Predator justice.

    Silver is a cool color!

I bought a silver Fender Tele "take-off" body, a few years ago, from Stratosphere. For some unknown reason, I wasn't totally smitten with it and returned it.

Since then, I wish I had kept it. I miss it. It had a fine grain metal flake finish.
