Getting older has its challenges, to be sure; therefore, it's important for us to be vigilant - and proactive, especially with regard to mental and physical health - not only our own, but that of our loved ones, too.

It's one thing to forget where you put your keys; it's another thing to forget what to do with them!

Let's see if I can understand this. It took you almost a whole week just to find the hunting gear that you thought you knew where it was, or at least confined to an area that you could search. Now you plan to use the gear to go HUNTING?! I hope the season last a long, long, time. :D

At least you didn't give up on looking and just go out and buy replacements (which will guarantee you'll find the original objects).

If it isn’t in the last place you look then you probably have a problem.

The main reason I was worried is that the hunting coat would cost over $50.00 to replace.

Yeah, I was going through all the scenarios:
    1. Someone stole it off the clothesline after I had washed it (the coat). But I don't think I washed the coat.
    2. Someone stole it from my car.
    3. I left it at the shooting range when it got too warm and took it off.
    4. I left the box outside, forgot about it and someone stole it.
    5. I took it off at a basketball game and forgot about it. o_O

PS: I had just replaced the zipper this winter and that cost over $30.00. I have a lot invested in this coat! Plus it's the best hunting coat I've ever had.

Yeah, maybe my brain's going flat. My older brother used to tell my mom that I had a square head.

The last time I moved, I didn't play any music electrically because I couldn't find any cables. A year later I found them in a box upstairs that someone else had moved for me.

Yeah Chet, been there. A warning to you from another guy your age: the next step is looking for something in all the regular places you'd put it and not finding it. Then looking all the same places again (it's got be in one of them) and no luck. On the third round, there it is in one of the places you looked, staring at you in plain sight. You looked at it directly twice and didn't see it! This has happened to me a few times now.

You know you are getting bad when you spend 5 minutes looking for your car keys, and look down and see you had them in your hand the whole time.

I like to call the female's ability to find our stuff when we can't "Womb RADAR".

As I read your thread, I was sure you were going to come out of the attic all sweaty and realize you were wearing it.

I had brain farts when I was younger too, but it never bothered me then cause I was younger....

When my daughter was a teenager, I became convinced that she was stealing our spoons and hiding them. I don't know how I got the idea that it was her, but I did.

I dunno. I still kind of think she did it.
