Though I don’t own one, I have sold a few, and I am familiar with them.
    They are built like tanks!
Really well made, great machining, and they sound good.
    They are also extremely heavy.
The auction winner got a screamin’ deal!

From what I could hear in sound samples, videos, they sound nice. Truth be told, I couldn’t have afforded it right now, but I was intrigued by the instrument.
I found this thread/ forum and they generally get good reviews:

I don’t think an old one like that is worth that much. I’ve never played one but from what I’ve read they have a good reputation but are heavy. Buddy Emmons played one for a while.

Lol! That's why nobody plays them! Plus, that is not the current model.

You can get a Mullen Universal-12 or D-10 for under $5,500. Jimmy Day played a Mullen in his later career, and he's no slouch!

Someone on Reverb has been trying to sell a Sho-Bud D-12 for $25,000 and has dropped the price to $17,500.

I play an older than that Sierra, it is a great guitar and I think I payed 1200 if I remember right. 850 for that is a great deal if it is all functioning.
