Here's a MIJ Jerry Donahue with two mini humbuchkers and my MIJ 60's Custom re-issue with a PAF style. A three humbuckers and the bridge pickup on the JD are from David Plummer, aka Zhangbucker.

Nice! I fell for the black guard, too, when I converted my '06 American Deluxe. I also thought about changing to a vintage-type three-saddle bridge, but this guitar is SO MUCH better than it was, I am going to keep the 6-saddle thing on there for a while. I have a Creamery WRHB at the neck and a Cavalier Lion at the bridge.

How do you like the ToneShaper? I think it is awesome. I also have the 5-way switch.

I guess it is not really a conversion... I built ir this way. The neck route will take a Tele, mini hum or P-90 with a pickguard change. Pickups are 60's Gibson patent sticker mini hum and an OC Duff plankster in the bridge.

    MIM 2007.

Only change of pickguard and some wiring required. Does this count?

Unknown brand 13K HB in neck with split coil switch. Tommi Iommi HB cover for that "fat lipstick" look.

My noname which somedays sports an EMG85 in the neck. On other days, it sports an EMG60, which is a mini hum in humbucker housing. Rarely I put back the EMG FT neck pickup. Plan to cut a new pickguard and move one of my EMG S strat pus into the neck.
That would complete my desire for the ultimate, easily interchangable neck pickuped telecaster. Could put a hum ,a mini hum, a strat or a tele neck pu into that position by simply unscrewing the pickguard and putting the quick connect cable to the favoured pu of the day.

    Yeah!
Humbuckers, especially in the neck position, are the
most important "fix" for a Tele, IMO.

2010 American Special. SD Seth Lover in the neck and Jerry Donahue in the bridge. 5-way switching:

    Full neck
    Split neck
    Full neck + bridge
    Split neck + bridge
    Bridge

The install was kind of a PITA. The American Specials are routed for a humbucker, but not a vintage style one with extended mounting tabs like the Seth Lover. It required some additional ad hoc routing on my part; not my finest work, but serviceable and it's all covered by the pickguard anyway.

Here's my Agave Blue MIM, presently sporting Duncan 59N (STL-1 bridge). 4-way switch gives me bridge / bridge+split neck / split neck / full HB neck. Not sure how much I like it, though; the neck HB might simply be "too much". I giving serious consideration to going back to the SSL-1 neck.
