Show your guitars with Painted top, natural/dyed sides and back

    Hello everyone! Lately I have been obsessed with this finishing style (painted top, natural or dyed sides and back). I think they look super class.

    Anyone care to share any photos of guitars (even if you don't own them) with this paint scheme?

    I got this Special DC cheap, because someone tried doing a TV Yellow finish on it and made a total hash of it.

    I got it home, stripped it and did a quickie all-white finish, but it was just too white. So I sanded the back and sides down to bare wood and shot it with clear lacquer.

    It's not the greatest finish in the history of guitars, but it looks pretty cool from a distance. Still one of my favorite guitars.

    This is about as close as I get. Top is finished semi transparent, back and sides are tinted

    I love the look. Hard to see on the sparkle job, but it has natural stained wood on the back.
