hi, does anybody know if the custom shop instruments exsposed at the namm have any serial number on the headstock or if they are sold with documents.......
i'm going to buy a used TELECASTER '52 J. CRUZ LOLLAR P.UP (unique model) with chamberd body that was exposed at the namm 2007 and the seller told that the 90% of instruments exposed at namm come with no serial n on the headstock and no documents, he told me that there is a bar code and serial n inside the body and on the botton of the neck this is a pick off the guitar can anybody tell me if it's an original telecaster..?
    there is a photo http://www.fotothing.com/photos/a57/a573f5330109795d8a3a9d5715d873a3.jpg?ts=1263830728

    These are my two teles:

Tele 1 - White with black binding MIJ 62 RI tele body with texas specal pick ups. neck is a MIJ 52 RI maple board.... This is my main gigging guitar.

Tele 2 - Lake placid blue 2009 upgrade MIM tele with stock neck. Upgraded nut and string tree as well as adding nocaster pick ups and a set of chrome strap locks. Never really used the neck pick up until I got this guitar with these pick ups, sounds amazing. Only got it before christmas and my band have take January off, but got a gig 4th Feb so will be giving her a debut them.

After reading all the opinions on here I have just purchased a classic vibe as well.... mind you it is a Duo-Sonic

So beautiful! How do you get something like that? Do you order it directly from the Fender Custom Shop?

Is that a Mighty Mite body? The color is beautiful. I've been searching for that color from an after-market builder and I've seen the MM version on eBay but I have heard bad things about MM bodies in terms of fit being off for bridge and neck. If this is a MM body was there any problems with putting it together?
