My first Telecaster, a classic 50s, arrived today I'm very happy! It's really a fantastic guitar, very high value, I doubt you could get a better Tele for that money

Ahem...here's mine...well it's almost a Tele. I'm deciding on whether to finish the body or sand a clear coat it the way it is!

hey thanks Todd, i did a little thread about it http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecast...7-lake-placid-blue-72-custom-style-build.html and i also showed the first stages in my thinline build thread.

It's a 2-piece alder body in Lake Placid Blue. The neck is from a strat classic player with the headstock sanded down and my logo added. Pickups are Dimarzio Area-T bridge and Air Classic in the neck. Push-pull series/parallel on the HB to get single coil sound but still remain hum-cancelling. Plays great, really nice action. Allparts Vintage bridge, Gotoh tuners. I cut the pickguard and bone nut myself.

And funny you should mention it, i'd like to start making for a living and would be on the lookout for any commissions, although the postage/tax might be a deal breaker
