I used to think sparkles were a little too "rhinestones and white patent cowboy boots" for me but somehow they're beginning to look kinda cool, as a matter of fact I think they're actually pretty... or even a bit sexy...Must be my inner Gram Parsons coming out...or...I could just be spending too much time in guitar forums.

Meantime here's a Mario Martin in Coke Bottle Green that's on Reverb. No affiliation, just like it.

Not the best photo sorry. This tele was gifted to me by the Fender Custom Shop for use on a CMA awards show. It was built for me by Alan Hamel. It's really stunning in person. There are some very cool guitars in this thread....!!

Both the Dano and the Ibanez are late '90s MIK, so I'll bet there's some relation. Funny thing about these Talmans; they didn't make a gold in '97, only a 'Flaked Silver'... with a clearcoat that apparently yellowed almost immediately. Okay by me...

I missed out on one of those Ibanezes on CL a few years ago and it is still smarting.
