If I need to go simple I just throw my ME-80 on the floor. My “big board” isn’t all the big, either. Eight pedals.

The true “big rig” is when I use the ME-80 and the pedal board. That’s some crazy stuff.

Just past 11 on the Dial
My G1Xon and Hartke looper which sits on the dual adjustable 9volt power supply that I built.
The G1 has 100 patches
I use 2 tones/patches
But I have it programmed in sets of tens, clean then OD going up in volume 25 points with the next stomp.
Then the first set is flat
The next set plus bass
The next set plus treble
So when playing live I can adjust the volume and the eq with the foot pedal.
Go thru bank 10 20 30, find the best sound, go up or down to adjust volume. Now some may say, just use the volume knob but for the OD setting I need full pickup output and it's and balance between the looper volyme and the guitar.

Or the super mini with no volume pedal or board completely battery operated.

;)

In the spirit of full transparency I will disclose that I have a Strymon Big Sky and a Twin Reverb.

Just realized what I asked would be a total thread hijack, sorry. I will start a thread on the subject.
Now back to the OP’s subject here’s my smallish setup

A buffer and tuner are always present. The buffer is used as a mute and lets me get a bit further from the amp.

A pedal (or two) in between those changes every so often.

Five years ago I've built this one. I was testing the overall capacity with these pedals on top of it. I remember I used velcro on top of it. It was very nice and later I added a nice set of nickel handles (not in the picture). Now it lays somewhere in the basement. Might go find it, dust it off, and get two or three pedals on top of it again...
