A board I threw together quickly last night of almost entirely borrowed gear....the TC Electronic Tailspin, power and instrument cables are mine. Guitar was a Reverend Double Agent and amp was a Vox AC15c which were also borrowed. Great tones!!!

This is my board for my current band, which is a Foo Fighters / Queens of the Stone Age tribute act. Signal chain is Guitar - ZVex Super Hard On - Rotovibe - TC Electronic Polytune (stickerbombed) - Fulltone OCD - Boss GE-7 - Malekko Ekko Dark analog delay - amp.

For the Foos material I set the amp to clean and use the OCD as the dirty channel, with the GE-7 as a solo boost, whereas for the QOTSA songs I use the amp’s (an Ampeg GVT) distortion with the GE-7 driving it also. It means the delay is going before distortion but that kind of works for the QOTSA sound. The ZVEX I keep on constantly, cos it’s awesome.

Can't believe it. I fit the TUNER that I always wanted! Flat patch cables let me have like 2 extra pedals on this baby. OK NOW I'M DONE!!!:p

thanks, it sounds awesome as well! I got it because my phase 90 stopped working, I wanted a vibe and was told the rotovibe works really well with humbuckers and in higher-gain settings. Have to say it’s completely delivered on that front, really cool pedal. Though i might put it in a true bypass loop just to make switching a bit easier during songs - will decide whenever we get to rehearse again!

Latest iteration- first board ever with more than one dirt pedal. The microvent and the East river replace the Ventilator original (this has much better head room but it's very fussy about it's power supply - It is only happy isolated by itself on the Voodoo Labs Iso 5) the Neo Ventilator had some cool distortion which I had to replace with the East River Drive. I'll take it for a spin this week.

Things I learned this week about this rig. The Microvent / East river drive is a great combination. I'm now playing through a Radial J48 Direct box which is a big improvement over the former Quilter Phantom Block and the Aphex guitar Exciter. Selling the Quilter probably keeping the Aphex. I like the Browne T4 but it squishes the dynamics flat as a pancake. The Timmy still rules I might try switching the order and see if it stacks better 'cause right now stacking is taking a big step backward from each pedal individually. Pedals are fun (mostly).

This is the current pedal board after some cabling and zip tying. I’m hoping to incorporate a grounded extension cord in the top right if I can find the right size. Just need to get one more OD unit and a tremolo and it’ll be complete.

The latest change is putting the Timmy in front of the Browne T-4. A big improvement.
When you stack them something very good happens!

Silly question but you're just using the zip ties while you're doing layout, ditching them for dualock or velcro once finalized it I hope?

Not silly that’s a good question. I use velcro on the bottom and zip ties. Velcro doesn’t hold tight enough for me so I use both to prevent anything from moving. I don’t reconfigure my board often because the only pedals I own are on the board ;)

Made a few changes. Figured I would post again.

    Chain:
    Origin Cali76 Stacked >
    Source Audio EQ2 (channel 1) >
    Digitech Frequout >
    Digitech Ricochet >
    Fulltone OCD Ge >
    Paul Cochrane Timmy V3 >
    Empress Multidrive >
    Origin Revival Drive Compact >
--Hub out to amp's front end and back >

JHS Little Black Amp Box >
    Source Audio EQ2 (channel 2) >
    Empress Zoia (stereo) >
    Empress Echosystem (stereo) >
    Empress Reverb (stereo) >
    Radial Shotgun Splitter (stereo) >
--Hub out to power section in stereo.

The EQ2 allows for separate curves for each channel. Channel 1 is just after compression. I use it to adjust for the selected guitar. Channel 2 is in the loop. I use it to adjust the global eq (typically an amp change or for direct use.)

The Little Black Amp Box's knob is tucked between the EQ and the Cali76. Provides a quick amp volume adjustment from the board.

The Shotgun is on the under-side. It splits and isolates both sides, sending buffered signals back to the amps and another set to a recording interface.

Brunetti Singleman 15w combo (blackface type amp) with cab.

    1980 Washburn Falcon

And for those that care, I used a four strand braid for my "wiring harness" to-and-from the amp (last pic). Works well, is neat, looks good, and may help with interference.

Anyhoo. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
