Just finished making a few changes so thought I'd snap a picture
Haven't posted here for a while, but here goes. This is the current state of the pedalboard (recently swapped out a Marshall Bluesbreaker 2 for the Orange Fur Coat, we'll see how it goes). Amp is a CR60 with a PPC12 extension cab. Guitar is an Ibanez XAF71F hollowbody.
Just added a Nobels ODR-1
Latest addition is the Park Fuzz. This will probably be my board for the foreseeable future and I’m loving it - does everything I want it to do. I’ve toyed around with the idea of switching out the Crayon for more of a pure booster, but it does a dirty boost so well it’s hard to justify taking it off.
Wow. My first change in over 5 months. After much debate (i.e. talking to myself) I decided to replace the cool-but-seldom-used Paisley Rat (see post 11374, page 569) with a Big Muff. Unfortunately, the Muff I like best is my DIY Triangle (upper right) which is significantly larger than the Rat. I managed to squeeze it in, just barely.
I really don't think this board will take any more pedals.
That's a nice set-up. How does the Ibanez sound with the Fuzz?
Gnarly. Very gnarly, especially with the octave engaged. But to be honest I think I prefer the noises I get from the Bluesbreaker 2. It hits that bluesy-swampy tone just about perfectly. I keep changing things out but always come back to the Obscura - Vibratrem - Bluesbreaker combo.
What is that thing on the ditto?
Barefoot Button Tall Boy. Very useful for elevating switches that are a bit hard to reach.
Edit: Changed the Boss Tremolo out for a Mr. Black Deluxe Plus last night.
...but, but, wait, where's the RAT? You, too?
...here's the thing, I'm about to put together a little bullpen pedal board, you know a backup unit, and I will be the first to admit that it will be RATless...
Never fear! The Rat is safely ensconced on my travel board.
Since last winter I've maxed out the space on this board. Added the Viscious Vibe, Carbon Copy, Ditto, and tap tempo for the DD-5. Replaced the foot switch with a board-friendly unit. I got some low profile donner cables to gain a little room and replace the patchwork of patch cables I had before. A little reworking of the signal chain down on dirt row lets me kick on my 3 favorite stacks with one stomp. Still loving the wet/dry setup.
Never heard of this one. What does the spectrum knob do?
I haven't posted here recently. My new, homemade board:
Hey! Im proud of my two pedalboards, I've been working on them for a long time, im not sure if i need another delay for my small setup or if i should take one of my delays from the big board and put it to the small one, and using the tunner on the big one. What would you guys do?
Great board man!
My new country-rock board.....
One Control Honey Bee OD
Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay
TC Hall of Fame
(usually a Tele into a Blues Deluxe)
My jam board. Had to fit in my gig bag and be battery powered. Built in about 20 minutes.
