Nice looking guitar. What is it?
Sublime Tomcat deluxe
That’s a cool setup. How do you like the DigiTech in that mix? I’ve got an RP60 which looks identical to yours. I usually use that with a pair of headphones to rock out silently.
It's all Digitech. Most people seem to hate on them but I enjoy each one of them. Some work better with certain guitars and not so good on others. I don't use the RP50 much cause I'm too lazy to set it up but I do have a few good tones set up in it.
Funny how fickle people become. In the mid/late 80’s and early 90’s DigiTech were so popular. Even the guitar magazine tutorials would give you the settings to emulate your favourite artist. I’ll have to pull mine out. I think it’s actually an RP80. It looks just like yours but has an expression pedal on the right side. I’m too lazy to set mine up too but it has some decent patches built in and sometimes I use the built in drum machine to make noodling more fun.
I dig DigiTech!
The DL-8 is sweet. Don't regret getting that one at all!! The cool thing is that most of the time I just barely tap into its potential and am satisfied with it. Nice knowing theres a lot left in it for when my taste or style changes.
My feeling exactly! I tried it on the Slapback mode when I first got it and it's been there since, but there's tons of options if I ever need anything different.
TS and not a Bad Monkey - cheater!
Hopefully the last metamorphosis for a long time....wanted to try out an octaver. Nit sure yet, if it will stay or if it just a gimmick.
But the first try-out was great!
AKG WMS40 wireless into patchbox amp-in, T-Rex 8Ball octaver, T-Rex Gul Wah, Fulltone OCD, amp in (Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube 25th Anniversary; effects send-patchbox into Rocktron Hush, Red Panda Raster, El Capistan, Flint, effects return.
Powered by a Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-2. Guitar is mainly an Ibanez Artcore AF75.
I almost got the Bad Monkey but couldn't get over the goofy name at the time. Got the Screamin Blues instead which I think was supposed to be close. I guess I'll just get a BM and try it out.
Bad Monkey and CM-2 fan here. Really wish I kept the CM-2, but had to liquidate some gear at the time. Another reason to never sell gear...
I was just reading reviews on the CM-2 and may go for it instead of the BM.
My just completed Pedaltrain Classic Jr. board with a CS-12 power supply mounted on brackets in back, the patch cables are EBS flat cables, and the ubiquitous zip ties keeping it clean. Signal chain is Guitar>Tuner>Comp>Phaser>OD>Chorus>Tremolo>Delay>Reverb>Looper>amp (when I do stereo my second amp is fed from the “right out” jack of the El Capistan).
Seems like the second overdrive spot on my board has been in flux. I finally tried out the Sparkle Drive. I really like its versatility going from clean boost to to mid drive. The clean blend is super cool.
