    Not rare, just a special edition color (they're usually purple). It was $40 during a stupid deal of the day on Musiciansfriend.

    Here's a hipster pic from my latest live gig. On the right of the pedalboard is a tiny corner of an EHX Pog2 I borrowed from a friend to try out in a live situation. Still waiting for the Strymon Tap Favorite switch to get here but otherwise, this board is pretty much complete (the only thing I have to try out is a Strymon Lex, which could replace the DigiTech phaser).

    Re: Wall of Sound

    I've played that 15 watt Tweaker a few times and am pleasantly surprised at the range it has. It definitely is appropriately named though....it's got more switches & controls that I usually care for....but it is fairly decent to navigate after you get aquatinted. I like the idea of pairing it w/ a second extension cab

    I'm still in the honeymoon phase of course, but so far I really like it. A friend had a CC and I never really liked it that much, too warbly and dark for slapback if you ask me.
    At last Sunday's band rehearsal I did have some clipping in the echoes, I'll try it in front of my dirt pedals to see if that helps.

    It's got that Instagram effect on it - washed out colors and a ragged black edge. Have to admit, I like it a lot, though I've been overusing this effect and called it 'hipster' in a minor flash of self loathing :)

    Woof!! Sound great. Does the Leslie thing very well. Dual ramping speeds. 1 light blinks with the speed. A/C power cord. Built like a tank.

    Have you dialed back the internal modulation trim pot? I think you can get rid of all of the mod if you want (though I think some sounds really nice). Might give you what you need.

    That said, I've owned the CC 3 times and gotten rid of it. I think it probably does big, Gilmour epic delays or big lead delays/ambient stuff best. The repeats are relatively dark.

    For basic delay (slap, shorter delays like EVH style), I find the Ibanez ADL hard to beat. Buffer is great. Switch is great (unless you get a lemon) some pleasing mod on the repeats.

    @Gary- in regards to the modulation, are you running with the little mod button on(lit up blue)? If so don't and that should take care of your 'warbly' :)

    I haven't tried messin' with the trim pots inside. I like the CC just fine without any modulation to it.

    just my .02

    My slide and mellow board. For slide I add a malekko A.D. and for my six shooter pedal steel I need a volume pedal as well. Dig the.chorus!

    There's 2 different signal chains there;

    The Electric chain is- Wah-Polytune-Comp-OD-Boost-Vibrato-Phase-Delay .

    The Acoustic chain is - Radial with the Polytune mini in the tuner-out, HOF and Ditto in the Radials effects loop.

    I usually run Mandolin/Acoustic/Banjo/U-Bass in the Acoustic chain. I switch off between instruments quite frequently during a gig. This is a decent setup for the multi-instrumental stuff. The Electric chain goes to my Dr.Z MAZ 38. The Acoustic chain goes direct from the Radial to the board.
