My current mini rig (minus my tele) the only thing I will add is a jhs pulp'n'peel compressor
My small board, powered by a One Spot. Since it's not my main board, an isolated power supply can wait, but I'd like to get a new board to mount em all on, maybe a Gator G-Bone or something of the sort that's nice and small. It's too big for a pt-mini, unless I leave the wah off the board, and too small for a pt-jr, so I need to find some other mounting options, preferrably something I can toss in a bag and carry over my shoulder.
Long time lurker, first time poster here. I love seeing other people's setups and whilst I admire the simplicity of some people's rigs, I am a pedal-whore:
this is mine, simple enough and covers all my wants and needs, but there may be an Eno Ambient Echo incoming, so watch this space
Small change. Went all Visual Sound (save for the tuner).
Nice! I have your whole top row of effects, minus the new XO. Looks like a nice setup. I love the effects, just can't read the knobs on stage. Have you painted the knobs or anything to help?
I actually have both versions of the Visual Sound knobs - those older shinier ones, and I have the newer, not shiny ones (like the picture below), so I can switch them if I want. I'm just playing at home these days, so I don't have to worry about glare, so I have the shiny ones on right now.
If you contact VS customer service, I'm betting they'd hook you up with a few of the not shiny knobs.
Yeah, I contacted Dana at VS asking for some of the newer knobs for 3 of my VS pedals and he shipped them out to me right away free of charge.
Really excellent company/staff IMO.
The set up for the new year..waiting for loop master strip, memory boy and bit commander
Sweet! My Open Road has the "not shiney" ones and I love them. I'll inquire about the other two pedals' knobs tomorrow. Thanks guys!
Hey, waltus, welcome. How do you like the ibanez envelope filter? Thinking of buying one to use basically with bass.
I had looked at a lot of filters before choosing the AF-9. I had narrowed it down to the AF-9 and the Malekko which is funny because the Malekko is the opposite in regards to it's simplicity concerning controls, but I love it's sound. I do like the AF-9's variety in controls and it's diversity from tinny and hollow to warm and fat. If I were getting one for the bass though, my preference would be the Malekko, but that's just my opinion. Also, thanks very much for the welcome.
I just replaced the Fuel Tank Jr. power supply underneath with a a Cioks DC10, and am running the Echorec at 12v for now, although I might bump it up to 18v if I get bored...
Well, I've posted before, but this is the real deal:
