My blonde baja got a reranch refinish in surf green. Usacg .93-1" U with 9.5" radius, stainless steel medium jumbos and a bone nut. It's got the 62 custom tele set in it, but I think I'm gonna swap in some keystones ASAP. Dig what the 62s do a lot....just a little too bassy and lacking the sparkle I like. 20160312_000406.jpg

Just finished my first telecaster deluxe...

Custom wound Filtertron Pickups by Mojo Pickups (slightly overwound bridge - around 9.5k). Vintage wiring. Les Paul wiring spec.

Finished in olympic white with a pearl lacquer.

If you have never tried filtertrons I urge you to give them a go. A-mazing!

A Filtertron in the bridge position of a Tele Gives you the same immediate sensitive finger control over your tone that a Tele bridge pickup gives. You can dig into the twang to cut through the mix or you can relax a little full mellowness into your sound just by where and how you pick. I vote Filtertron as the official genuine Tele sound bridge pickup alternate.

oh ok ha,thought you put a sticker on ha,i have still to decide on pickups for my tele build, was thinking vintage neck and tapped seymour hot rail bridge, what would you think of them together? i want to keep that tele pop sound at neck and have a bit of rawness with the tapped 4 way switch,push/pull control.

    IMG_2584.JPG IMG_2585.JPG IMG_2586.JPG IMG_2587.JPG IMG_2589.JPG Hi all.
I posted some of these shots in the welcome forum, but it seemed relevant to this thread, so here it is again.

My take on a 72 Tele Deluxe.

Warmoth custom body in gloss black with Strat trem rout.
Warmoth flame maple single piece CBS Strat neck. 6150 frets, 59 roundback profile and 10-16" compound radius, finished in vintage tint gloss.
    Lollar Regal WRHB pickups.
Gotoh 510 locking staggered tuners with Schaller style buttons.
    Callaham vintage 6 screw trem.
Vintage wiring scheme with CTS 1 Meg pots and Sprague tone caps.
Assembled by a luthier in Tasmania.
