I really ought to go learn to play the guitars I have better, but this thread is just too good not to look at over and over. There are a few that really catch my eye, but they're all beautiful. Thanks for posting everyone! Need an Esquire, need an Esquire, need an Es ......

Had some vogue magazine's laying around from the girlfriend when she was done with them.

I razor bladed it out, then glued it to the pickguard, then clearcoated it.

Pretty hot babes in those mags.

62_Inca, your guitar looks really cool, do you sell these? I do have one nit picking question however, why is there 7 screws in the guard? A black guard should have 5, right?

I think the extra screws are creative. They are exactly where a well used guitar would warp the guard and need to be placed.

This is a beaut of a "dog"! :D

A real black guard didn't come equipped with a Bigsby either. And it would have a 3 way switch. And the control plate would be reversed from this one. Etc, etc...

How many black guard Teles do you suppose have survived the years "unscathed" ? Now compare that to the number that have been "modified, repaired, etc..."

When I build guitars I build them as if they were played for many years, not how they would come "new off the showroom floor"....just a personal taste thing, I guess.

Thank you ! (I'm kinda fond of it too !)

I guarantee you that lots of people "hate" it though....and that's fine.

That's the funny thing about "personal taste".
