So how are they? I've to admit I've never even SEEN one in the wild myself...

My 71 Deluxe is also a plain top cherry burst. It's a 3 piece top and at angle the grains at the glue lines really can show. On stage from far off I doubt it though.
I do really like the one piece. And too fancy makes me feel like a bigger poser than I already am..
Tele wise, I am strictly a 2TB as bursts go.
It’s a ‘94 Hamer Special FM, bought new in ‘94. It has rocked with me for almost 30 years. I put it against my friends LP and we both felt it was bay far the better axe.
