I dont have many guitars anymore, so my backup Strat ( in this biz card photo)
Is actually a $169 Peavey Predator ( maybe 1990?) that I bought before buying my first Fender, a few years later.

I now keep it at a buddy's home studio ( Pro Tools) and used it for many a gig and demo ( note Bob Dylan '66 decal!)

My idea of a #2 is that it ought to be a versatile "all around-er" that one also shouldn't be too freaked out about were it to end up with a ding, so I go with...

My 1956 Les Paul Goldtop. It's a killer guitar but I play the humbucker ones more.

PRS Singlecut. I got this one from the factory. Nice guitar and really easy to play but I kind of go in cycles with it.

I haven’t played live in years. I don’t know what guitars I would take if I had a show. Any one of these are worthy of being a number one or two. 9B034613-43E2-4005-915E-FB903557B6AC.jpeg

Hmm.... That's tough but it has to be my 86 Junior. I have other guitars I play more but this guitar just rocks.

When I just had my guitar and a spare, this was a simple question to answer. Now I have three...

It's been years and years since I've played live, and I only had the one guitar back then, a cheapo Squier Strat. If I ever was fortunate to gig again, I'd give her a good setup, and bring her along as number 2, with my cheap green partscaster as numero uno.

Those Peavey T series were/are KILLER guitars! The tone pots cranked to 10, put the HBs in single coil mode and kick in around 7 to go back to HBs. I love 'em although I traded mine awhile back. I do miss it.
