My goodness, this 64 is gorgeous! I usually like to buy mint/near new/very light user marks but I wouldnt mind getting an AV64 like this!

My 2013 AVRI 64 in Lake Placid Blue has a few slight dings. I’d read about them chipping by just being looked at and the vintage whites seem to be the worst (best?) culprits, but the LPB as I understand it has a silver undercoat and is pretty tough. I am looking forward to it dulling and growing old gracelessly.

Sorry I’m late to the party. Here’s my AV64. It’s been played quite a bit the last 4 years. Mostly handled with care, but the thin finish is well-documented. I quite like it. All natural. And the wood showing sure is pretty. It is yellowing a bit where my forearm rests, but that’s not really showing in this light.

Anyways, great thread. Some lovely guitars in here.

There's something about those teles. Mine is in my avitar. Not a 1st 46 but a regular blonde '58. Totally head over heels in love even after years of owning it.

    Not a PV but a 2002 AVRI

Very cool guitar and looks well played and loved.
    I didn’t know they made a 58RI in 2002?

Sorry, forgot to mention the 2002 is a 52RI. My 58 is still pretty pristine since it doesn't see many gigs.

I baby all my gear, I can't stand the relic look at all. Sometimes dings happen from situations beyond your control, but I go out of my way to prevent it.

I'm kind of the same anymore. I want my guitars to look nice. My old 52 saw a lot of wear from teenage and 20's heavy gigging. These days, we don't play as often and I don't tend to get quite as sweaty when we do. Just generally easier on gear as I've gotten older.
