I like it a lot.
The perfect track to break the recording cherry on a new amp.
Blankenship 'Fat Boy Jr.': 9 watts, 12" Celestion G12H30, beefed up 5e3 (I think?).
Anyway, I think it sounds pretty good.

You get the "I never would'a thought of doing that with the track" award.
Great concept, great playing, cool tone. Bravo!
Thanks for another wonderful bt kind sir.
Yeah I agree it sounds great. I would say the 5E3 is a deluxe, and what I think I see is more like a champ- it looks single ended, Possibly a 6L6 type instead of a 6V6? But that’s just a guess. Maybe volume and a tone stack? An extra preamp tube…. I did a champ and a deluxe and both of them had larger filter caps than stock, otherwise they were the same as Leo. I immediately fell in love with the champ and think it’s one of the greatest sounds especially with a larger cab/speaker like you have, A little extra filtration to tighten it up and take care of that noise, and I’m sort of partial to just tone knobs on those small circuits but if that’s bass and treble it’s surely not hurting anything, especially if I could defeat it if I wanted. I don’t think the deluxe gets better with more filtration 16-20-22’s fine. All in all you’ve taken it up a notch, I usually just post a dumb picture of the guitar or guitars that I played on the track…Now I’ve got a build an amp? Man…Walks away muttering shaking my head…Haha
This was a jam from one of the backers in a link someone posted in Twanger Central a while back. It had links to 40 or more backers. This was a fun one.
Happy New Year everyone!

Nice track and playing Riffraff but 2 demerits and 10 minute timeout for not playing the OP's BT!
Haha! Maybe they got frustrated like I did-The way I record is onto my stereo looper so I end up with a bunch of tunes on a little Micro SD that I have to put into an old phone. I can end up with a bunch of passes but there’s nothing but the size of the file to differentiate… they all say phrase.wav and then either 29.3 or 68.5 or whatever MB… if I don’t start renaming them right away it starts to get out of hand, and after a week or so I can’t even remember what goes where. Took me more than an hour the other day because I was trying to find a place to put my blues oriented song and it turned out it wasn’t from the numbered “ show off your blues licks“ areas, but somebody’s personal upload, opposed to the every weekly entries.Nice track and playing Riffraff but 2 demerits and 10 minute timeout for not playing the OP's BT!
...Of course we should still tar and feather Riffraff, but in case I do it again I’m just looking for a little advance extra leeway for me! Haha!!! Jjjjkkkk!!!!
Holy Heavens to Murgatroyd! Hell, Houston & Haiti hath not horrors as such I hadn’t heard of before there! My mothers side of the family traced back to the inquisition so I have heard of some pretty heinous tortures but that one slipped by me or was invented afterwards, I don’t know. Heck on my Pops side, I guess killing off the food supply of bison and gifts of diseased blankets… Man I’m ready to do an about-face and offer absolution… it’s time to give peace a chance!!!! Haha!I like your style TwoBear, so tar and feather Riffraff it is. But we have standards here so the only advance extra leeway we can grant if you pull a "Riffraffif" is Breaking at the Wheel
since you already got away with it once. Sorry for the commercial - fast forward to 49sec.
Happy New Year!![]()

Oh my gosh that’s funny! Unless you drive up to that spot where Arizona and Utah and California and whatever, Nevada I think, yeah must be. You walk into the which ever DMV is closest to there and there might be three people in front of you. What am I talking about I’m just remembered going to a DMV in Cedar city Utah before coming back to California, and as I walked in, the one person in front of me in line was finishing so there was actually no waiting! Contrast that to where we are now in Garden Grove orange county California. I had to take another test, A few years back , after so many years of just being renewed. You gotta love humanity. We've invented more ways to kill each other than there are stars in the universe. But then there is a trip to the State Motor Vehicle Dept. Now we are getting dark!
Thanks Russ:
I'll bring the tar, you guys bring the feathers.
That goof up is what happens when someone on the other side of the couch catches you on your tablet and asks "are you on those guitar sites again" while you are trying to find some distraction from the 3rd viewing of her favorite romantic comedy. The other fun ones are when I'm trying to rush a post while she is peppering me with questions designed to get me off the tablet and I don't notice that spell check changed words so what ends up posted is total gibberish. She can type, hold a conversation and do long math all at the same time but damn if I can.
This is at least in context with this thread. Cool backer by the way. I used my MIM Ash Tele and the SF Bassman 70 in the track pic with a Tube Screamer clone for most of this but switched to a cleanish set EHX Soul Food from 2:54 on. I love the strong beat & groove in this backer. The title was inspired by the situation.
