I kept this as quick and simple as possible to avoid thinking about it. No run-through, one take and no effects apart from the reverb on the amp. Front P90 on my PRS McCarty and DvMark Evo 1 set completely clean. I did edit the harmonica at the start out though - it was a bit off-putting.

Bit of trivia tho.... I normally use the first picture I find as the icon for soundcloud and in this case it's one I took of Holdenhurst Village Hall, which is a couple of miles down the road from me and was the scene of my first ever gig in 1973. It was also used by King Crimson for rehearsing as they were local to my area. Robert Fripp still lives a few miles away.

My first experience with B.B King was on Sandford and Son television show in the mid-seventies. I've been a fan ever since.

I was practicing slide tonight so I decided to give this track a try. Strat-Dano hybrid (bridge HB) -> Orange Kongpressor -> Monoprice 5w -> Bugera Power Soak -> Keeley Caverns -> Hotone Binary IR (Ownhammer EVL 4x12 IR)

Thanks for this wonderful classic song/progression. I saw BB at The Filmore West when this song just came out on the radio. We {my teen guitar crew}, were so taken by the purity of what BB was doing, but I think I was the only one that veered towards BB and such, all my friends became the first generation of metalheads, live hard and die young.
Anyway, this is more Peter Green Fleetwood Mac, a little, a smidgen, maybe even some Robben, for sure some Robben, I stole it.

That's a cool story, it don't matter how it happens, it just happens.

Very nice playing in BB style, I hear something fast like BB/s butterfly vibrato?
This is up there with your best playing.

Like dancing on hot wires, nice melodic control of the power.

here's mine. Tried to keep it simple: 1 take, 1 sound (squier strat neck pu>CS3>odr1>carbon copy>marshall clean amp). just added a little comp eq and reverb in my daw as i always do.

Very nice, I like your use of subtle pinch harmonics, that hidden language of the blues.

One more go at this, it's like getting back in line for a ride at the amusement park.

Both tracks have the same 2nd guitar track,

Well, that was fun. Thanks, @bigbreak. Better late than never here... been a busy week.
