Honkytonk Blues. Enjoy.
No "production", only a little reverb. Should the solo be mixed louder? I like it kinda buried in the mix.
Good morning Mr Thought,
I like it, stylistically appropriate. I also prefer being "one with the band" volume wise.
Very nice job, listened till the end.
What was your rig?
P-92 tone, should've use more treble though.
Glad you liked my entry, ASATKat!
Signal chain: 2003 Fender American Deluxe Telecaster (noiseless pickups) > early 1980s DOD Studio Bifet Preamp/410 (battery powered preamp/DI) > Behringer UCA202 USB interface > Dell laptop running Audacity. Monitored with Sony MDR-101 headphones.
Mode 3 - blues tone to taste,
dag nabbit, played behind the beat in a couple spots, did not want to do that. My big hurdle,
Texas Blues Shuffle
Those first notes raised my hair. Sweet blues from the heart.
That is a sweet sounding package!
Lots of great quotes, could you name them? I knew the first one but It's not coming to me, as well as the others lol. I'm bad with names.
I did recognize the "standing on a mountain of love" quote you milked, very creative.
I like that tone. Kind a raw and gutsy without being overwhelming. Guitar is singing very nicely in a couple of spots.
I didn't do a lead over your fine riff and I hope I'm not stepping on this thread but I found it REALLY close to a collaborative effort that a couple of friends and I did quite a few years ago. It was a file swap where I play the intro and the rhythm line. I hope you enjoy it.
A great blues-rock solo, klasaine! I admire anybody who can play a good-sounding distorted solo, in any genre. Despite having owned many fine tube amps and distortion/overdrive pedals over 50 years of electric guitar playing, I seem to instinctively default to "clean", if the tone selection is up to me. Gotta accept this at my advanced age, I guess...
Nice double stops and cool tone.
Crunch mode, moderate gain, sounds Texas to me,
Here's my take. Okoume kit Tele (bridge Tone Hatch Shin Kicker) -> EHX Tone Corset -> Monoprice 5w -> Bugera Power Soak -> Hotone Binary Cab (OwnHammer EV-L 4x12 IR) -> Mosky Spring Reverb
I used a 50 watt non-mv Plexi clone with a Nobels ODR-1 overdrive pedal into a two notes load box and 2x12" speaker IR. It was screamin' in my headphones .
