Just want to see a bunch of guitars ya'll have that are stained any color! Trying to get some ideas
I don’t know what it was stained with.
I love the dern thing.
'80s Peavey Patriot. On its own and with a brother.
Same guitar, looks different depending on the light.
What kind of wood are you wanting to stain?
dye rather than stain.
Stan vs veneer:
Old Master’s “Spanish Oak” on swamp ash.
Dang! did you dye that yourself? Do you have more photos of this guitar?
I have yet to finish this one.
dyed front, dyed and stained back.
That is one cool geetar BDB!
Yes I did, and thank you!
I only have a few in progress photos that aren't very interesting. But here is a shot of the headstock. I made the neck out of striped Sapele, ebony board and SS frets.
I use stains both to enhance wood and to change its color. Sometimes the finish that goes on top will be tinted, sometimes not. These have all had some level of staining
There are more but you get the idea.
CJT1775, that body is almost exactly what I’ve been looking for—hollow with humbucker in neck and single coil at bridge. Seems like all I can find routed for humbucker has 2, and the slanted control route. Looks like this also is hollow on the bottom as well.
Did you have to custom order this route? Where? (Can you tell I’m a bit excited?). I’m actually thinking mahogany body w/ ash top, but this is close.
Question-what are you planning for the f-hole? Looks like you’ve covered to keep it unstained...
I did the green with artist oil paint, the brown wood is walnut, it has a very attactive natural chocolate colour.
The blue guitar is my No. 1 and if I'm honest the colour isn't very inspiring but I like sounds it makes and I gave it a pretty cool shape.
Stained and strained.
stain? possibly dyes? could be like tomato, tomoto?
I'll play .............. here is my custom order 'burgundy' burst LP ............ girl got sum stains ............
Beautiful guitars, basses and mandolin!
