Not a traditional tele, but close enough: Really liking your G&L. Is it a tribute or an asat? Very nice!

Just slapped this one together a couple weeks ago. I prefer the vintage white pg to the mint. Nashville body with the contoured heel, Classic 50s lacquer neck, Bare Knuckle Flat 50s Blackguard bridge, Fender CS 62 ri neck, middle position out of phase. I already burned rubber into the finish from leaving it on a guitar stand, even though I knew better.
I’ve been wanting a Daphne Blue Tele for so long, feels good to check it off the list.
Now I just need to find a used 72ri Thinline in Shell Pink and I can stop all this madness.

I'm not really sure this is Daphne Blue, but at least it looks similar...

It's an 1997 unloved Squier Affinity that I upgraded completely into a Nashville-style telecaster. (still a few minor things to do)

Very nice. Like the vintage white guard better than my stark white.

As for stopping all this madness, it's playing and making guitars that keeps me sane! [emoji6]

Very nice Mr H, but stop?? Please don't! Me, I'm only just starting. I've done my LPB based on a MIM Std, will finish a natural swamp ash in a month or so, have acquired a VM Jazzmaster to fit new pu's and wiring to, a neck that needs a thinline attached that was always going to be natural walnut, but clearly needs to be Daphne Blue... And Sonic Blue still won't leave my mind alone....

I don't have the facilities for scratch building now and putting partscasters together more or less satisfies the craft genes I have.

I've been thinking about putting a black pickguard, but I think the black pg is a whole lot better with a one pc maple neck than with a rosewood board.. it seems white or mint is the way to go.. Cant think of anything else that will look good though..

Maybe yellow tortoise? FYI warmoth will send you 3 color swatches for free. I agree black with rosewood neck may look unbalanced.

This was my first partscaster. Took me a while to decide on the pick guard and P90 cover but I think it’s sufficiently classic looking now.
